My dear seniors, it is now the second half of your last year of high school. I know the feeling. I know you are so excited to graduate and enter the real world as an adult. I know you want to get started on making your dreams a reality, and I don't blame you. I've been there and done that, but I have some advice. There's some things that I wish I would have done during the last half of my senior year and I'm offering that advice to you.
1. Don't rush!
You have more than enough time to be an adult, so don't hurry out of your childhood. These are your last few moments to be a kid, so make it count.
2. Get to know people that you've never talk to before.
Senior year is a bunch of firsts and lasts. Your last prom, homecoming, high school football game. Why not disrupt the long list of lasts and make a first. You're never going to see some of these people again, so you might as well make some good memories with them before you have to say goodbye!
3. Make the most of every moment!
This is the last semester of high school ever! Don't just watch it fly by! Do something exciting, and make every moment count. You'll really thank me when you have a lot of fun memories to look back on.
4. Don't take it for granted.
I know how excited you are to leave this place that you've been trapped in for 13 years, but don't take any of it for granted. Value this last semester of free education, because after this, nothing is free.
5. Don't start slacking, end with a BANG!
I know at the end of my senior year I wanted nothing to do with assignments and classes, don't let that stop you! Boost your GPA and prove to yourself that you can get the grades you want! Don't put in less effort just because it's the end, work harder!
6. Don't focus on the things you didn't do, but rather focus on the present and what's yet to come.
I know I said to not rush the end of high school, but that doesn't mean that you can't be excited for the future. Plan ahead and make sure you have an idea of the path that you want to take. Relax and remember that even if you didn't do all you wanted, you still have time to make more memories!
7. Don't peak in high school!
You're going to miss your friends and memories from high school, but don't stop that from letting you move onto bigger and better things. Don't get stuck in the past. Make the most of it and keep moving forward, there are amazing things ahead.
8. Don't put all of your effort into friendships that won't last.
There are some friendships that just aren't meant to be and that's okay. Don't spend all of your time making it work. You will make new friends in college, and although it is amazing to keep friends from high school, just know that you will lose some too and that's okay!
9. Tell your parents you love them!
I know your parents are probably breathing down your neck and won't leave you alone, but trust me, you'll miss them. Don't take any moment with them for granted, I mean come on they make you food and take care of you and after this year you're on your own! I for one wish I told my parents I loved them more, and now that I'm on my own I realize how much I under appreciated everything that they did for me. (PS I love you mom and dad )
10. Lastly, just have fun!!
This is you're last semester of high school so make the most of it. Don't worry what others think of you and do what makes you happy (as long as it's legal of course). Senior year is a time to celebrate and think back on all of the amazing things you've accomplished.

Have an amazing rest of your senior year, congratulations, you made it! This is just the end of the beginning!
